We haven’t gotten a good snow here in the midwest for quite some time. It hasn’t looked much like winter here So when it snowed the day before Christmas Eve we were thrilled. A white Christmas! Finally winter light. You can see in the pictures it wasn’t a lot but it was enough to make it look like winter and go sledding!!! My kids are 7 and 4 and so far we have used the little hill in our yard to go sledding. This is the first year we tried out the big hill in our neighborhood and we’re hooked! We had so much fun! Right after the snow stopped the clouds started to open up and created some beautiful light. Here are some of my favorites from our winter sledding adventure.

SharleenOh wow, that looks likes so much fun. I love the fact that you took them to a bigger hill. I remember us “sledding” on the sand dunes in South Africa. That was so much fun but we swallowed more sand than I ever expected. I love that your kids seemed to have so much fun.

ToriThe joy in the third one is my favorite! And how fun to hit the big hill! We are somewhere in the middle now… We use our backyard hill, with the exciting possibility of slamming into the neighbor’s fence – so far, that hasn’t happened!
