Share Six – Color – February 2018

“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.” ~Wassily Kandinsky

Normally in the month of February I struggle to find color. So I panicked a little when the theme was chosen and it was…Color. But then I started to think of all the things around that are colorful, bright and abundant.  We do a lot of art activities so I have lots of supplies to choose from. Both kids love to make slime and beg us to make it on a regular basis.  My daughter is an expert slime maker and my son is pretty good too.  However his slime ends up in odd places; on clothes, in carpet, little balls dried out all over the house, and even several spots on our ceiling.  We’ve had to cut down on slime making due to these incidents. haha. Well, my daughter found a new recipe for slime made with shaving cream (yes, she is a slime researcher). Knowing I needed color pictures combined with my daughters enthusiasm to try this new recipe out, I caved.  So glad I did because we had a ton of fun, and this is the best slime recipe yet!  The slime is fluffy, stretchy, and not super sticky! Pretty amazing stuff actually.  And as you can see they sure did have fun!

I have joined a group of photographers, Share Six, who will be blogging 6 images each month. Each month is a different theme.  Please click HERE to see Katherine of Cobert Photography’s interpretation of this months theme.

Join us for this month’s theme by posting your Color images on our Facebook page at Share Six and to our Instagram gallery,  by tagging #sharesix and #sharesix_color.  A new theme will come out on January 6th.

  • SharleenKathy – these are amazing.  I have never made slime but I used to make play dough when the kids were little and that also landed up all over the place.  I think we were banned from making it after a while.  I am amazed that you can blow up big balloons with the slime.  That is incredible and you captured the colors so well.  I love the concentration on their faces while they were blowing them up.  Thank you for a great share.  ReplyCancel
