February this year was unusually warm. We were able to spend lots of time playing outside! And what did I do?! Captured my kiddos having fun and freelensing while doing it. I find myself freelensing more and more. I used to avoid freelensing my kids because I might miss focus and not capture those fleeting expressions and moments I want to hold onto for a lifetime. Lately it seems as though all of my favorite images of them are those I freelensed. Freelensing has definitely become a big part of my creative journey. Here is our February!
Creating a felt heart to attach to a handmade bag for a birthday present for a friend. For only being 5, she is quite the sewing master!
Conversations about a lady….a lamp that was my grandmothers 🙂
An unusually warm day at the park!
Bubble play, music, dancing, cookie’s and donuts on a cold day!
Another warm day at the park- pine cone hockey and castles.
Mud pie anyone?!
Building sentences…
And last but not least, a sunset dance!
I have joined a group of some very talented freelensing photographers who will be blogging images each month. Please take look at the next photographer in the blog circle:

Renee BarthI totally hear you on the reluctance to start shooting my daily life and kids in freelens. I’m addicted now and it seems weird not to have a few images that freelensed each week.
