This past year I have been determined to learn, grow, and become better, not only as a photographer but as a freelens artist. I started this time last year by reversing my lens and using it as a macro. I quickly fell in love with the light, depth of field and bokeh achieved using this technique. I was hooked. There was no looking back. Eventually, after a few months of shooting freelensed macro, I felt the need to capture more in my frame.
I have always been an artist. From the time I can remember, I was creating something out of anything. My college degree is in ceramics, pretty much the opposite of digital photo. The common thread, though, is the desire to create, a desire that has grown stronger over time. And, my creative focus has shifted from making art to capturing images.
My passion for photography began from my desire to capture our kids growing up and being able to look back some day at decent photographs by which to remember them. It soon became much more. The memories I have captured portray the happiness and zest for life my children exude. Through these glimpses in time, a beautiful everyday life story of family love and joy evolves, one that can be embraced forever through images!.
Throughout this coming year, I will be blogging our freelensed story each month. Here is our January!

Dancing with a piece of Tulle.
A little adventure while it was warm! He seems to always be one step (well maybe a few more) behind his big sister. Love how he always ends with a smile 🙂
I have joined a group of some very talented freelensing photographers who will be blogging images each month. Please take look at the next photographer in the blog circle:
